Our activities for teens consist of events for middle school and high school students. Events are offered afterschool and in the evening. Additional programs and camps are available during the summer.

Young at Heart Book Club
Young adult books aren't just for young adults! Join other adults for coffee and to discuss young adult literature one Saturday a month. Copies of the book chosen for a given month will be available for checkout at the circulation desk at the library.

Every summer the library offers a summer reading program for people of all ages to encourage them to read, explore new authors and genres, and find out about the many different types of materials the library offers. The summer reading program is also a great way to encourage kids to keep reading during the summer when they aren't going to school. The Sioux Center Public Library is giving students in grades 5th-12th an opportunity to volunteer at the Sioux Center Public Library. This opportunity would include shelving books, creating displays, preparing various library materials and other duties performed in a library. We can set up a weekly, biweekly, or monthly time that works for the student and the library to make this the best opportunity for both of us. Read More

Join us at the Library to make crafts that work because of science! Make it here and take it home with you when you are done! Kids 3rd through 5th grade will learn a science principle or topic, then use that principle to create crafts or projects that they can take home with them Read More
Crazy 8s Math Club
Crazy 8s is a recreational after-school math club that helps kids enjoy the math behind their favorite activities! We’re nothing like your usual math club. With Crazy 8s kids will build glow-in-the-dark structures, crack secret spy codes and play games like Toilet Paper Olympics. Read More
