Summer reading has kicked off at the Sioux Center Public Library and we were excited about the number of kids, teens & adults that are coming in the doors to participate in our reading challenges, attend our book clubs & listen to our special guest speakers. Our mission at the library is to ‘fuel Sioux Center’s passion for reading, personal growth, and learning’ and we’re living that mission every day this summer, but not without the help of many generous businesses and sponsors within this community.
Our Summer Reading program is funded solely through donations that we receive and each year we’re happy the number of people participating grows as does the generosity of those businesses supporting us. We use the donations to purchase incentives, such as books, school supplies, tech gadgets, & bookmarks to reward kids & teens who’ve reached reading challenges. Each week on Facebook and our website we’ll be showing pictures of what’s happening at the library and thanking those businesses so make sure to check it out.
Thank you to all of you that have partnered with us to make our summer reading program a success and for continuing to support the literacy growth and learning needs of our community!
