Every summer the library offers a summer reading program for people of all ages to encourage them to read, explore new authors and genres, and find out about the many different types of materials the library offers. The summer reading program is also a great way to encourage kids to keep reading during the summer when they aren't going to school. One Book One Sioux County
One Book One Sioux County a collaborative program among the 8 public and 3 academic libraries in Sioux County in an attempt at community building through community conversation.
In this annual endeavor people and libraries-both public and academic-across Sioux County read and discuss the same book. The libraries host book talks in their own towns throughout the year. In the fall a collaborative event is held at a central location. In the past this has been the author visiting and a panel discussion of people involved in the story. Read More
Young at Heart Book Club
Young adult books aren't just for young adults! Join other adults for coffee and to discuss young adult literature one Saturday a month. Copies of the book chosen for a given month will be available for checkout at the circulation desk at the library.

The Sioux Center Public Library offers an outreach program of bringing library materials to patrons at Crown Pointe, Royale Meadows, and Regency Retirement Residence or to others who are unable to visit the library. Sioux Center residents unable to visit the library may request home delivery of large print materials and recorded books (Books on CD).
