The Summer Reading Program at the Sioux Center Public Library recently ended with final spins on the prize wheel & grand prize drawings. This past summer we had 803 children, 92 teens and 57 adults participate in our summer reading program. Each age group has reading challenges to meet and the opportunity to win prizes throughout the summer.

Children, ages toddler through 4th grade, logged an amazing 3,130 hours of reading time! All children meeting their reading challenges had the opportunity to spin the prize wheel and take home books and fun school supplies. Our grand prize winners in this category were Cody Feikema who won the LEGO set and Hailey Koelewyn who won the American Girl doll.

Teens were encouraged to read and enter their names into drawings for a digital camera, Kindle Fire, Cubs baseball tickets & Sioux Falls Canaries baseball tickets.

Sioux Center adults who participated read 125,505 minutes during 6 weeks! Congratulations to the following adult gift basket winners: Mary Jo Lee, Elda Vander Schaaf, Shirley Klein, Vera Boender, Sandy Popovich & Jodi Vogel.
