The Sioux Center Public Library has many exciting events that will be coming up in December for kids, adults and families.

We are hosting the 2nd Annual Christmas Crafts and Goodie Exchange on December 1 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Adults and children 8 years and older are invited to join us to make Christmas crafts and exchange goodies. Bring two dozen goodies (homemade or bought) if you’d like to participate in the goodie exchange. Please sign up for this event at the library or call 722-2138.

Mark December 2 on your calendar!  You are invited to our last Storytime of 2014 and to celebrate the holiday with stories, games and crafts. Children of all ages, along with their parents, grandparents, or other special adult are welcome to join us on December 2 from 6:30-8:00pm. Please sign up at the library for this event.

On Friday, December 19 at 6:30pm, the Sioux Center Public Library, in conjunction with the Sioux Center Arts and Recreation Department presents A Christmas Carol performed by Duffy Hudson at the Te Paske Theater in Sioux Center. There is no charge for this performance.

The Library will be hosting the “Tis the Season Holiday Boutique” on Saturday, December 13 from 9:00am – 2:00pm in Meeting Rooms A & B. This is a great time to check out what local vendors are offering and do some Christmas shopping!

Butlers Coffee & Cafe will be hosting a Christmas Tea on Monday, December 15 from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. Children and an adult of their choice (mom, grandma, or special friend) are welcome to join us for tea, cookies and a craft. Shelly, from Bulters, will be reading some Christmas stories. Children are encouraged to dress up in their tea party attire. This event will be held at Butlers, 85 W 1st St. Sioux Center. We have limited spots for this tea party so please register at the library or call 722-2138 to reserve your spot.
