The Sioux Center Public Library has recently welcomed two new members to the library board.

Andrew Geleynse is an occupational therapist at Sioux Center Health. He and his wife Alicia have just celebrated their 10 year anniversary this past summer and have been blessed with three boys – Eli is 7 and will be a second grader at SCCS, Jace is 5 and Carter is 2. Andrew writes, “Our family is very grateful for the Sioux Center Public Library and try to take advantage of the many great services it provides. I look forward to being a part of the Sioux Center Library Board and being a part of this great asset to our community.”

Duane Tinklenberg is a retired pastor in the Christian Reformed church having served 5 churches from 1967 until 2006. He is presently serving as Pastor of Visitation at Bethel CRC in Sioux Center. Duane is married to Marilyn and is the father of David, Dawn and Douglas and the grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Duane shares that he is looking forward to the next experience of seeing the library operations from the inside as he has made extensive use of the library facilities since his retirement.

The Sioux Center Library staff and board are excited to have Andrew & Duane’s leadership and experience in serving our library. If you see them in the community or at the library, please introduce yourself and let them know what you enjoy about the library and thank them for volunteering their time to serve our community in this way.
